Wild at Heart

Is it possible that Wild at Heart had different scenes (or more) on VHS ? I remember watching a tape around 2004 and it left me with a different feeling than this DVD version, much better, perhaps even a better movie than Lost Highway because of the numerous funny parts and the contrast in the movie.
