what a great, even brilliant, homage to Fellini's 8 1/2. From the opening scene, the black and white, the story, evertyhing is just so 8 1/2. and this doesn't mean that Allen just copied the film and makes his own 8 1/2. he still put some of his trademark, most notable are a wonderfully smart philosophical annendum, and break the fourth wall scene. overall, Remarkable, and could become my favorite Allen's movie, probably with a second viewing
