Brutal...just brutal. The grittiness isn't all bad, but I think it distracts from a bit of a simplistic plot that doesn't offer all that much commentary. Dunno, it felt a little pointless to me. Maybe I'm missing something. I wonder how this has shaped perceptions of Mexico and Mexico City? Even the richer model/magazine editor story wasn't pleasant. My brother and his wife raved about a recent trip there, though.
