Woody Alllen has a wonderful way with endings. Watch, Radio Days, Sweet and Lowdown, Matchpoint and the Purple Rose of Cairo---all films that I wasn't sure were working while I was watching them yet finish movingly; all of the individual parts that I was unsure of, became alchemized into a grander, diaphanous, whole.
