Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stainsপরিচালনা করেছেনLou Adler
Unremarkable youth rebellion picture is notable mostly for the presence of young actors who would later make it big, including Diane Lane, Ray Winstone, and Laura Dern. Bland and instantly forgettable as it plods through a cliched, predictable story.
When it starts it looks like it might be snark but no bite, then the realisation that its grim settings and politics are no mere fashion statement. Its cynicism (blasting commercialism, male insecurity, media representation) allows room for genuine empathy for its underdogs. I was moved, not least by the idea that teenage girls with a mic would find an audience calling it like they see it.
