Luis Ortega’s true crime tale of Argentina’s most notorious serial killer is made doubly eerie by the gorgeous, deceptively sunny cinematography and attentive 1970s details. Lorenzo Ferro’s chilling performance as the baby-faced criminal with a heart of darkness simultaneously seduces and terrifies.
