Love Noomi. Not so fond of her Netflix movies. They tend to be poorly written. The action scenes are good. Michael Douglas was sleepwalking through this one. At least Malkovich tries to do something interesting with his role.
Run on autopilot. But still an enjoyable treat, thanks to the (mostly) great cast. Rapace is charismatic and reliable as always; both in dramatic and action sequences. Plot is predictable yet still engaging and interesting to follow. Not like that 'Atomic Blonde'
Normally i'm quite apologetic when I say something negative about a film but this was crap and i'm not sorry. The teeny tiny bits of John Malkovich were a breath of fresh air in between a large amount of uninspiring dialogue and a heinous portrayal of a cockney stereotype from Orlando Bloom. Seriously Orlando....SERIOUSLY? He sounded like a more annoying Danny Dyer, if that is even possible.
2.7 Some nice set pieces but basically a B-movie with nothing new to tell or show. Poor Noomi Rapace, she deserves better screenplays. Mr. Bloom, on the other hand, should consider himself happy that he is allowed in a film like this. After this performance he deserves worse.
A nice plot, not as intricate as could be expected, but with all the right twists. And quite far from racial profiling (although at first sight might seem the opposite), which is quite unexpected. Good Sunday popcorn film.
