“At the age of twenty, I decided to work in cinema. I began as a pole vaulter for ten years, then I wanted to become a writer. But one of my colleagues dissuaded me, arguing that it was not the job that suited me. He told me, "Make a film yourself!" That's how I made my first film (Dogs & Cats), which won an award in Japan.”
