AFTERNOON DELIGHT

A woman takes her husband to a strip club to spice up their marriage. After she gets a private dance from a sexy blond dancer, she invites the girl to work for her as a live-in nanny.

The set-up for Jill Soloway’s debut feature might suggest an outrageous sex comedy, but the writer-director quickly unveils a more serious-minded agenda. With a welcome lead role for the brilliant Kathryn Hahn, Afternoon Delight asks rattling questions of womanhood, marriage, and sexual stagnation.
