Our take

Adapted by Beth Henley from her Pulitzer-winning play, Bruce Beresford’s slice of Southern Gothic certainly boasts some all-star credentials. Sissy Spacek and Tess Harper scored Oscar® nominations alongside Henley, in a Mississippi-set melodrama ripe with familial recriminations… and murder!
