This mechanism still being a subjectivity-oriented reality, crystalized into a audiovisual way of expression. The content: a deep journey into some vectors that motions transformation of a subjectivity by the ethos of late capitalism and by all struggles and contradictions that constitues it.
A mythical-psycho geographical experience, one of the best I have ever had.
A study on, among many other subjects, collective and individual identity, politics, ontological and epistemological issues, cultural heritage, Man-Nature duality. It either resonates with you or it leaves you annoyed.
My advice is to watch it over and over again, until the Bell will not ring, the Dream will go on and you will get to the Sea.

The film is interesting because the buildings are interesting. As a person who identifies as Queer, I don't think that this qualifies as Queer Cinema. I found the narrator annoying and his description of "vintage Diane von Furstenberg silk pajama top" completely superfluous queer signaling, as though it would somehow give this slightly interesting exercise (or himself) more credibility.
The camerawork is superb. The tall building's exoskelotons/shells/suits kind of reminded of the music video and similar drone shots for Forest Swords' Crow. The Resnais/Duras-like voice over was dreadfully didactic and masturbatory.
