5 years between franchise installments and this is what they came up with? The viewer is left thinking is there eventually going to be monsters in this robots vs monsters film? By the time that moment comes any interest in the film or characters as long since dissipated. Bodega and Eastwood both show they don't really possess 'leading man' charisma here. Not quite a hack job...but pretty close.
The franchise is losing GdT real bad. It's like when a teacher can't convince his/her favorite nerdy, big glasses pupil who likes to hang out in the library to go to the math olympics, and had to resort to the jock whose favorite youtube channel is Logan Paul's.
The first movie was a big budget production that had benefit from the visionary cinematography approach of Guillermo Del Toro and still the movie wasn't such a huge succes. So a sequel that didn't had the same resources and not the best people involved in, clearly couldn't make a much of it and be at least good as the first one.For me this wasn't not even decent just pure junk.
