Pop Roman history that gets the full HBO production treatment. The first season is incredible and could have stood alone as a miniseries on the rise and fall of Julius Caesar. The second season is also very good, but feels crammed together - I assume because of the show not being renewed for a third season.
It's been more than a decade since this seductive, brutal, alluring HBO series caught me. Each damn time, I've felt in love with Titus Pullo, I've tried to learn how to be a decent woman from Atia, I've cried for non-bald Caesar & I've cheered for an incestuous scene between Octavia <3 Octavio. So much nostalgia for TV greatness before Netflix </3
