Our take

Director Tom McCarthy picked up an Oscar® this year for Spotlight, but it was this indie gem that brought the writer-director (and actor, great in The Wire) to our attention, winning the Audience Award and Special Jury Prize at Sundance. Just as special: it catapulted Peter Dinklage into stardom.
