Our take

A prominent figure in the art world, Clément Cogitore has established himself as a cinematic voice with only one feature film. The Wakhan Front is a one-of-a-kind war movie, a metaphysical yet palpable study on fear. In the director’s words: “Ford meets Shyamalan”. And a hint of Antonioni, we’d add.
