Our take

Nathan Silver became one of the defining voices of low-budget American indie cinema with his prolific slate of discomforting slice-of-life dramas. Uncertain Terms explores the volatile relationships within a home for pregnant teens, enhancing its anxious charms with performances of acute intimacy.
