Hvad siger folk?

  • Zachary T.'s rating of the film Valkyrie

Singer builds suspense masterfully; in places it felt very Hitchcockian to me. He makes the most of a talented cast, with eerie resemblances to the real life figures, and a stately, spectacle-free presentation. Not to mention, the story itself is just so fascinating and compelling that the flaws and contrivances (yes, British Nazis are at first distracting) don't add up to much.

  • Christopher R. Smith's rating of the film Valkyrie

Stylishly made, but ultimately underwhelming historical thriller. Tom Cruise is a bit stiff in the lead, but he's backed by a top-notch supporting cast. There are a number of well-crafted suspense sequences, but as a whole, it just falls short of the mark. Despite its flaws, it is good to see Singer take a break from his blockbuster superhero franchises and do something different.

  • Tigrão's rating of the film Valkyrie

It is really oddly cast (I mean, Eddie Izzard as a nazi, really??), but Singer is a talented director who can pull off that can of trick.

  • Palmat's rating of the film Valkyrie

A good thriller with committed turns by the actors. Still Singer does not manage to make this as urgent and suspenseful as it needed to be. If you make a movie based on facts that the audience knows you better work your ass off to make the audience doubt the real life outcome. In my opinion, Singer does not... What we get is quite tepid and lacklustre in many respects.

  • Trevor Tillman's rating of the film Valkyrie

Like War of the Worlds, this movie was quickly dismissed because of the stigma around Tom Cruise. This is a Hitchcockian thriller that brilliantly manipulates you into hoping for an outcome that you already know is not in the cards. Long live sacred Germany!

  • R's rating of the film Valkyrie

viewed better if you see this as an amusing midnight cult movie. tom cruise tries way too hard to come across as a sympathetic, honorable nazi. the film fails in overlooking the fact that these 'resistance' nazis basically agreed with hitler's racist ideology, but opposed his populism. i also don't understand why the film jumps back between nazis speaking (terrible) german to english with american/british accents.

  • DenoResandono's rating of the film Valkyrie

There is one thing that I didn't like from VALKYRIE. Why all the characters talked in their natural accent instead of using the German accent? The good thing is it didn't bother me so much. VALKYRIE is a great re-telling of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg story about his attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Actually, I knew how VALKYRIE gonna end. It's still thrilled me tho. It's a prove that the suspense works well..

  • Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Valkyrie

Now this is an interesting Tom Cruise movie based upon an intriguing true story about German officers that want to take down their own leader, Adolf Hitler, but since this is a Tom Cruise movie Tom wants the whole film to center around his character when it should have been an ensemble movie and he ends up too weak against the rest of the fantastic cast in the film.
