WWII

I was talking with some people and one woman expressed dismay at how many WWII movies there were, when the persecution of so many other people were overlooked (Darfur, South America, Armenia, etc.).

However, in addition to the Jews, homosexuals and Catholics were also persecuted during WWII. There is a monument in Paris that brought this to my attention when I visited in February, 2004. Please note, though, that France willingly deported their Jews during the Nazi occupation, so they didn’t necessarily have clean hands.

My favorite films are toward the top. The list is loosely ranked.
