Catherine Grant's post-holiday return to blogging and tweeting has reminded me that some of her invaluable pointers to online resources over the past couple of weeks slipped right on past me during the year-end crunch. High time to catch up:
- The new World Picture, #6, bears the ominous title "Wrong."
- "The Disgust Issue" of Film-Philosophy. In her introduction, guest editor Tina Kendall notes an increasing interdisciplinary "concern with thinking through the relations between bodily sensation, emotion, and cognition (especially as these are mediated by films and other cultural forms), and with probing the political, moral, and ethical implications that arise from those particular conditions of embodiment."
- The second issue of Cinema: Journal of Philosophy and the Moving Image.

Stoffel Debuysere has collected and posted hours of video from Goodbye Cinema, Hello Cinephilia, an event that took place in October in Brussels. The talks and discussions are led by Adrian Martin, Jonathan Rosenbaum and Jacques Rancière.
- Catherine herself has indexed "video recordings of papers from research events held at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) at the University of Cambridge."

"The Cinema Eye Heterodox Award honors a narrative film that imaginatively incorporates nonfiction strategies, content and/or modes of production." This year, the five nominees are Mike Mills's Beginners, Ivan Fund and Santiago Loza's The Lips, Lech Majewski's The Mill and the Cross, Sergei Loznitsa's My Joy and Damon Russell's Snow on tha Bluff.
And the Producers Guild of America has announced its nominations for the PGA Awards 2012.
In other news. "It's rare to find a coffee-table book about cinema that is truly of value to both the casual reader and the serious cinema-lover," blogs Girish Shambu. "One of them is French New Wave (1999), edited by Jean Douchet. I've just discovered another: Film: The Critics' Choice (2001), edited by Geoff Andrew, with a foreword by Bernardo Bertolucci (Billboard Books, 2001). It's out of print, but used copies are going for under a dollar at Amazon." And after posting a round of terrific excerpts, Girish adds a mile-long string of links.

Marthe Keller is to be inducted into France's Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur, report French- and German-language Swiss news outlets.
In the works. Twitch's Todd Brown has the latest word on Kim Ji-woon: "Currently hard at work on Arnold Schwarzenegger comeback project The Last Stand, the director of A Bittersweet Life, I Saw the Devil and The Good the Bad, the Weird is headed home [Korea] for his next project. Little is known at this point beyond that the picture, titled The Fall of Humanity, is a collaborative effort with Yim Pil-sung — the director of Antarctic Journal and Hansel & Gretel. "
