Ireland 1984. End of January. 15-year old Ann leaves the house one morning taking a pair of scissors with her. They miss her at school. Nobody knows where she went. Late afternoon a few boys find her in the local Maria Grotto. With her baby-son whose umbilical chord has been cut. They’re both dead.
