About the 75th birthday of the UFA film studios. Universum-Film Aktiengesellschaft was established in 1917 as a direct response to foreign competition in film and propaganda. In 1927 Alfred Hugenberg an influential German media entrepreneur purchased UFA and transferred it to the Nazi party in 1933.
