It somewhat tests the audience's patience (specially if you're not a fan), but still, it is undeniably very well made and a whole lot interesting, if a bit frustrating (but I guess it IS a film about frustration).
Creating an abstract space of Edwin's experience after the stroke, the film largely relays on editing various images of English countryside with audio of Edwin's thoughts and feelings. It has occasional slips into pretentious music video, but when it works it's beautiful and lyrical. However, the core and the most powerful aspect of the film is a touching relationship between him and his wife and an ode their love.
Incredible cinematography and fascinating in how it feels as if we are piecing together Collins' memories along with him through shots of his hometown and childhood experiences, but loses some of its promise later on as the focus shifts away from visualising his fractured mind and more towards a conventional doc style.
