Horror of abused bodies, unhappy childhood and youth... a mute scream of pain, hunger of feelings and feeling unconfortable everywhere. He has lost his lost-minded twin in a forest, she's has lost her bodies in mist and snow. I think there's too much pain in this movie (but the novel was even more desperate), but even some scattered beauty
I appreciate tackling the difficult topic, consistently venturing into the dark corners of what life can be. The way the story is told feels a bit forced, eventually becoming quite cumbersome. As a result of the unnecessarily mixed timeline and the way the characters are portrayed, I found it unconvincing how these two fragile people could connect and understand each other's lonely pain, which is a crucial part here.
Inspiring search for beauty against pain. Almost unbareable suffering that elicits deep humanity. Only a weak, desperate, but absolutely empathetic shift deviates the story from suicide. The philosphical core is existentialist, maybe near Viktor Frankl´s theory of suffering and meaning of life. I did not like the title, prime numbers are not really in solitude according to the fundamental theorem of arithmetic.
One of my favourites books I have ever read. Unique and like a prime number. Sadly like it happens with beloved books that became movies, I had something different (not totally different) in my mind and even the precise performance of ehat was written in the book, something was missing - somethig.
