A Merry, Alternative Christmas

Rather than a collection of the various ‘traditional’ Rankin-Bass productions or half-baked Christmas films and specials, I figured I’d try to create an alternate list of films for the Christmas and New Year’s season. The only exception being It’s a Wonderful Life since, despite being an established classic, I think still goes against the grain of saccharine holiday specials. Whether holiday films that are underseen, films that are merely set on or during the holiday season and some with an especially ‘Wintery’ mood or are appropriate for one of the holidays.
