UNDERSEEN OVERLOOKED UNDERRATED: MOVIES YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW BUT SHOULD SEE

These are films that might not be well known but I feel should be seen by more people. This being MUBI, you may have heard of most of these films. This list is for those five or ten or so films that maybe you have not heard of. Finding good films I had never heard of before is one of the reasons I like MUBI.

I have kept the list to one film per director. I had to do this for brevity. There is one exception to this rule (there’s two by Fessenden, so sue me!) Some directors are criminally underseen (Frederick Wiseman, Charles Burnett, Lodge Kerrigan, to name a few) and I wish I could list all their films. On the other hand, some...
