Synopsis

On the eve of the 2016 US election, a Las Vegas dive bar becomes a stage where its employees and barflies gather one last time before it closes down. Early birds stroll in at 11 am while hardy souls stagger out at the final call—each eccentric dispensing drunken absurdities and pearls of wisdom.

Our take

Obliterating the line between documentary and fiction, the Ross Brothers staged an all-day bender for this wistful ode to barflies everywhere. From this pickled premise, a poignant microcosm of social and political disillusion emerges, as the film sounds an elegy to communities lost and found.
