Synopsis

Activists Jan, Peter, and Jule lead a silent revolution as the self-styled “Edukators”. Breaking into houses by the cover of the night, they seek to unnerve the wealthy through their protest art—until a terrible incident threatens not only their political beliefs but their trust in each other.

Our take

A cult film of the millennium comedown starring Daniel Brühl, The Edukators hot-wires the anger of the 1968 student revolution and refuels it for the nihilistic early 2000s. Natural light and handheld camerawork lend intimacy and immediacy to this exhilarating vision of Gen Y rebellion.
