Our take

Celebrating the unsung female voices of a male-dominated genre, this Sundance award-winner is a marvel of stylistic pastiche. Throwing melodrama, fisticuffs, and even a musical number into its meta melting pot, Leonor Will Never Die pays heartfelt tribute to the Philippines’ action-movie heyday.
