They are in the airport cafetaria waiting for their plane to Argentina when Gérard tells Hélène he is leaving her. Hélène is in shock and tries to reason with him, but fails. So she remains at Orly airport, utterly lost, the victim of a whim that has destroyed eight years of life together.
