Radio man, poet, filmmaker, Pierre Perrault made films on life along the Quebec coast and the banks of the St. Lawrence. Using light camera and synchronous sound, Perrault developed a contradiction between the modernity of his technique and the traditionalist subjects that film seeks to address.
