Synopsis

When, nearly two decades after the war ended in Yugoslavia, a diverse group of veterans gather at a remote mountain hotel to undergo days of therapy, it’s hard to expect total harmony. The former soldiers, holding on to their masculinity and prejudices, refuse to expose the inhumanity of the events.

Our take

Set two decades after the end of the war in Yugoslavia, this extraordinary Balkan psychodrama explores the therapeutic process undergone by a group of veterans. Bosnian director Alen Drljević casts a frank look at forgiveness, healing, and the deep scars of war that’s masterfully managed.
