Our take
Lewis Carroll’s subversive fairy tale gets updated for the psychedelic ‘70s in artist Eduardo Plá’s kaleidoscopic riff on the story. Made on the cusp of military dictatorship, this under-seen adaptation finds a topsy-turvy Argentina at the bottom of the rabbit hole, rife with trippy portents.
