Synopsis

Aburao, the son of a troupe dancer, has grown-up to become a brilliant clown. He garners a lot of fame but also gets alienated from his ideals and loved ones until an old friend pays him a visit.

Our take

Following the stage-to-screen tale of a clown performer, Jabbar Patel brings to life the deceptive allure of the film industry. Written by the iconic Marathi humorist P. L. Deshpande, Ek Hota Vidushak makes fantastic use of Lavani folk art and clown acts to satirize the sleazy world of politics.
