In the 60s a little boy named Anatole lives in the Kazakh steppe with his parents-archaeologists. One day, he witnesses the accidental death of his brother. This event traumatizes him so much that he loses the ability to speak. Then, he meets an old Kazakh man who’ll teach him how to speak again.
