An epileptic 12 years-old girl is hospitalized in the psychiatric ward instead of the neurological ward, due to an administration error. Out of this mistake begins the difficult journey towards being cured. She meets a young neuropsychiatric, Arturo, with whom she undergoes intense psychotherapy.
Echoing the down-to-earth cinema of Paolo Virzì—one of her longtime collaborators—the third feature from Italian director Francesca Archibugi (Mignon Has Come to Stay) is a small gem with a big heart. A coming-of-age drama that delicately yet bravely unveils the intimate struggles of early age.
