Our take
Jazz and politics collide in Johan Grimonprez’s propulsive documentary, an electrifying look at the covert machinations behind the assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba. Moving across timelines and continents, this singular work of historical excavation dazzles with formal brilliance.
