Shot in Argentina, Chilean auteur Dominga Sotomayor’s sophomore featurette Mar started off as a script-less experiment in improvisation. It turned out to be a visually impeccable, light-hearted, yet incisive look at a stagnant relationship shrouded in all its pastel-colored glory.
