Our take

Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World shines for its giddy style and sense of humor. His effervescent adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novels calls forth love, heartbreak, and melancholy that is enhanced rather than suffocated by extreme stylization. Great fun and emotionally true.
