Our take

The girlishly expressive face of actor Darshana Rajendran is canvas for a cascade of emotion in this atmospheric film, set in the land of waterfalls. Ancient Hindu mythology and mass unrest in late-capitalist Sri Lanka converge and crackle like static, unleashing a perfect storm in lovers’ paradise.
