Well-to-do, image-conscious couple Don and Fran have taken in Fran’s stepsister Karen, whose asocial ways are drawing unwelcome attention. At the mercy of macabre hallucinations, Karen runs away and, breaking into a vacant beach house, vents her violent impulses on all callers and passersby.
