The young couple Inge and Heinz lives in East Berlin. It is 1957 and she works as a dancer in a bar, while he is a car mechanic in West Berlin. Tired of being objectified she began as a waitress in the East. She thinks he should work in the democratic sector too, before he gets into trouble.
