Why would someone ought to guide you? The theatre is a group. A whole. It's the playwright and the acting troupe. Attached to each other. That's it—that's the theatre. It doesn't fit to no one else. Do you want one more individual to look over your shoulder? Do you want someone from backstage to observe you and tell you of his opinion? Why can't a person with a taste for the theatre be able to tell you that?”
