“I love playing someone else. Building a character is always surprising and humbling. It’s impossible for me start without a preconceived notion of how I’m going to play a part, but quickly that falls by the wayside as I begin. The character drops hints in so many ways. The discipline for me is to try and quiet my control and let that stuff happen. It’s a constant process which makes it always interesting.”
