Kneuss has been employed by his childhood friend Schnaffelmann as a consultant in his advertising agency. During a visit to Schnaffelmann’s house, he recognizes in his boss’ wife Cécile his childhood sweetheart Cäcilie Bucher, who feels frustrated in her marriage.
