Ogden is a diplomat travelling from Hong Kong to the U.S. to reconcile with his estranged wife Martha. But his room is invaded by Natascha, a Russian countess who fled the revolution and ended up in Hong Kong. As he reluctantly agrees to help her get to the U.S., an unlikely relationship begins.
