Sinopsis

In Salazarist Portugal in 1942, two French refugees, Boris & Laura, are arrested by the PIDE, the regime police.Inspector Vargas, seduced by Laura, hides them at home, where he lives with his daughter, Ilda and his very ill wife. Ilda finds out and, tormented by jealousy, precipitates a tragedy.
