Valoraciones & Críticas

  1. Fabricio Torchiari's rating of the film China Not China

  2. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film China Not China

Distorted images and Lynchian music. Is it all about cities that are alike but not? A political message to China that their occupation of areal do not mean that their cities are Chinese? Sadly this piece is too museum-like and empty for me.

  3. Paul Sonnenberg's rating of the film China Not China

A small masterpiece. Inspired, unique, film abstracted to pure thought.

  4. Pok's rating of the film China Not China

  5. Slappy McGee's rating of the film China Not China

There's craft in putting this film together by layering various images on top of others. It takes technical skill to do such. But I find nothing interesting here personally. It was extremely tedious and boring for me. The music was awful. A very bad choice there. If others find an emotional attachment to this monotonous images then more power to them. For me, this is a waste of time, skill and effort.

  6. Wesley Pereira de Castro's rating of the film China Not China

Cansa! :( Vale pelo experimento: é realmente bonito! (WPC>)

  7. Kenneth Gentry's rating of the film China Not China

  8. Ruiz Buñuel's rating of the film China Not China

I wish he would have kept the original audio and layered that too.

  9. Tye-J's rating of the film China Not China

15 minutes artificial nonsense. No story no people nothing. Distorted images and sound, nothing more. Sorry.

  10. mono.micha's rating of the film China Not China

Taiwan.

  11. MarcusArcus's rating of the film China Not China

  12. Ally's rating of the film China Not China

Visually rich and enjoyable, however the rendition of urban agitation down to a layered flow movement doesn’t really develop the distinction which is the premise of the title.

  13. thomas's rating of the film China Not China

made me feel inspired, love the "anlogue" style. it's not for people expecting movie-like storytelling. abstract art is hard to discuss in regards to it's content, isn't it?

  14. Accatone's rating of the film China Not China

Another avant-garde short film with distorted images and ambient sound that feels like it is 1 hour too long. Constant camera movement in the film can also make the spectator dizzy. Like Bresson, I cannot stand films that use the camera as a broom. The description of the film already depicts what the spectator should see and what the film conveys, so what do I know!

  15. FISCHER's rating of the film China Not China

Un peu longuet, tout de même !

  16. tidal waif's rating of the film China Not China

Jihlava '18 Whereas it's said that a work of art is never finished, just abandoned, here the adage pertains to what faces the camera, its volatile and constantly redrawn spacial physiognomy. Though not directly about China with its tremendous, oft reckless landscape and urban reshapes, it's arguable if the film's ethereal, layered texture of chronic(led) dissolution and dismantling could point more adeptly elsewhere.
