[Canal Hollywood] 'Is there a volume lower than mute?' [Kimmel's Mean Tweets about S. Gomez - i think]. Is precisely what i kept thinking when i saw this all the while criticizing the cast clueless performance(s) and the subpar production and costume design and how the focus, energy+intensity of actors' direction shifted every other shot. Great cinematography at times, but a lukewarm story betrayed by poor direction.
It's an action film, unfortunately there's not much character development. Maybe exploring deeper what his life was after the war and how forgotten he was by the Portuguese State would have been a good option. Not a bad production though, especially if you have into account the challenges of producing this kind of film in Portugal.
