If Kelly Reichardt's 'Old Joy' had been a zombie picture it may well have looked like this lo-fi horror entry. Jeremy Gardner and Adam Cronheim are both quite effective in this story of two teammates surviving together in a post plague world driving one another a little crazy but keeping each other somewhat safe. It's a touch long in the end but does have a strong finish. Well worth a look.
Cool and very watchable zombie movie that delivers both suspense and laughs. The writing is quite inspired and the acting is not bad. And it´s refreshing to see a zombie movie that takes place in daylight in such lush and green scenery.
Smartly focuses on its characters and emotion for a fully-realized, three-dimensional, and literate take on the genre. I agree it's a zombie film for the iPod hipster generation, but that's the point of the film: the modern and industrialized lifestyle vs the nomadic. Does a simpler way of life dictate a life worth living? How about if you give up your freedom? Most relevant zombie film of the modern age, indeed.
WTF. A zombie movie for hipsters. All those zombie out there look like they're queueing for iPhone 6 while someone is shooting them with Instagram. Add to the end 6 fucking minutes of a guy sitting in a car and smoking a cigarette and you can easily get mad while listening to that shitty soundtrack.
