Hsu Pao-Hsing, a struggling artist, teaches painting to prison inmates and meets Chou Cheng-Ting, an exceptionally gifted young prisonner. He decides to organise an exhibition of Cheng-Ting’s work, unaware of the public uproar it will cause.
